Western Illinois students selected as finalists in national broadcasting contest

Five Western Illinois students have been selected as finalists in a national broadcasting contest.

Five Western Illinois students have been selected as finalists in a national broadcasting contest.

Five Western Illinois University broadcasting students and a broadcasting professor have been selected as finalists in the National Association of Broadcasting Society's Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition.

Senior Johnny Cather will compete in the categories of Audio Features Segment and Audio News Segment.

Sophomore Danny Frey will vie for an award in Video Sports Play-by-Play and, along with senior Mario Colero, Video News Package.

Junior Emily Manley is also nominated for Video News Package and, together with senior Anamile Zuniga, Best News Segment.

Redrick Terry is nominated for Video Sports Play-By-Play.

Professor Sam Edsall is a finalist for a Video Promotional/Educational award from NBS' Professional Production competition.

Winners of the student awards will be announced at an NBS conference in Hollywood on March 16.

The winner of the professional awards will be announced March 14.
