Children from third- through eighth-grade can look forward to an interactive “STEAM” conference from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 5 at Western Illinois University’s Riverfront campus in Moline.
Students will be able to select three different sessions during the half-day event in the realms of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Painting a Fibonacci sequence, writing music, launching rockets or programming robots are among the many possibilities. The event includes free snacks and costs only $5.

“If you have a passion for STEAM this is your chance to show off your interests and knowledge,” the Office of Education stated.
Scholarships for the entry fee are available upon request.
