Agenda as follows: 1) Call to order and roll call 2) Invocation (Kim Callaway-Thompson, District 19) 3) Pledge of Allegiance (Scott Terry, District 21) 4) Approval of minutes from the January 17, 2017 Board meeting 5) Public Comments 6) Presentation of Lifesaving Award to Deputies Tim Gillette and Steve Rusk 7) Consider Finance and Personnel Committee Report and requests a. Consider Board member per diem/mileage report b. Consider appropriation resolutions for funds c. Consider transfers of appropriations d. Consider Employee Policy 500.2 – Vacation and Other Leaves e. Consider Carey settlement f. Award low bids for seal coat g. Approval of FY17 claims in the amount of $1,363,024.69 h. Approval of FY16 Treasurer’s Disbursements (TDs) in the amount of $1,289,473.77 i. Approval of FY17 TDs in the amount of $1,767,715.55 j. Approval of report 8) Consider Governance, Health, and Administration Committee Report and requests a. Approval of report 9) Consider Public Works and Facilities Committee Report and requests a. Permission to close County Highway 59, Loud Thunder Road, for Du-State-Du event b. Approval of report 10) The County Board may vote to enter into Closed Session for the following: • 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (1) – The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged County Board Agenda Page 2 of 2 against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. • 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (2) – Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. • 5 ILCS 120/2(c) (11) – Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probably or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting. 11) Consider action as necessary based on closed session 12) Consider appointments a.
