Analysis: Moline pays $4.35 for every $1 pensioners contribute to East Moline Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 80.4 percent of the $1,420,499 the East Moline Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.35 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Moline contributed $1,141,908 to the fund, which saw a $198,119 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $262,327, or 18.5 percent, in 2018. Another $16,264 came from other unspecified sources.
