City of Geneseo City Council Met Aug. 11.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

City Ordinance allows members of the Public to speak and give input up to 3 minutes during Public Comment, there can be no debate or action by the City Council at this time.

7.1. Appreciation to Marilyn DeMay for her work on the Florence Love Wildflower Garden at Richmond Hill.

Note: Balances will change especially in the general fund and the enterprise funds as bills continue to come in for FY 20 and once accruals are made.

12.1. Approval of previous City Council Minutes

12.2. Approval of previous Committee of the Whole Minutes

12.3. Consideration of Resolution R-20-24 First Amendment to the agreement with the Humane Society.

12.4. Consideration of Ordinance O-20-25 - setting a $5 fee for late notice letters.

12.5. Consideration of Ordinance O-20-26 Authorizing Impoundment of Vehicles.

12.6. Consideration of ordinance O-20-27 Increasing the number of class "B package store" liquor licenses from 5 to 6. Motion to approve ordinance O-20-27.

12.7. Consideration of resolution R-20-19 Approving Iowa Public Power Agency Refunding Transaction under Joint Transmission Agreement and Incorporation of Supplemental Exhibit in Loan Agreement.

12.8. Consideration of resolution R-20-20 that removes Loree and adds Brandon as a signatory for banks.

12.9. Consideration of live streaming meetings. Due to the COVID situation the City used GoToMeetings and a lot of the public liked to watch the meeting from the comfort of their home. The public would need to either come to the open meeting in person or email or text their public comments to the City Administrator to be read during public comment.

12.10. Consideration of Resolution R-20-17 Declaring the Industrial Park as surplus property.

13. OMNIBUS METHOD

13.1. Use of the Omnibus method and to approve consent agenda items.

Motion to use the Omnibus method and to approve consent agenda items 12.1 - 12.10.

14. ADMINISTRATION

14.1. Consideration of Resolution R-20-21 Utility Easement for Ash Street Lift Station.

Motion to approve resolution R-20-21 permanent utility easement for the Ash Street Lift Station.

14.2. Consideration of Resolution R-20-23 Utility Easement for Stewart Street Lift Station.

Motion to approve resolution R-20-23 permanent utility easement for the Stewart Street Lift Station.

15. PAYMENT OF CITY AND UTILITY BILLS

15.1. City Bills to be approved

Motion to approve the City bills as submitted.

16. PUBLIC COMMENT

City Ordinance allows members of the Public to speak and give input up to 3 minutes during Public Comment, there can be no debate or action by the City Council at this time.

17. ADJOURNMENT
