Illinois State House District 72 issued the following announcement on Sept. 2
If you’ve been unable to pay your mortgage due to COVID-19, IHDA developed the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMA) to support Illinois homeowners unable to pay their mortgage due to a COVID-19-related loss of income. If you are approved, you will receive a grant of up to $15,000 paid directly to your loan servicer.
Funds are limited and applications for EMA will be accepted August 24th through September 4th. Only one application per household is allowed and an application is not a guarantee of assistance.
If you have any questions, please call (312) 883-2270 or toll-free at (888) 252-1119. For those who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech-impaired, please contact Navicore Solutions for free assistance at (877) 274-4309 (TTY)
