State Sen. Chuck Weaver (R-North Peoria) thanked the American Manufacturing Association (AMA) for a poster it created in celebration for innovators across the state during Manufacturing Month, according to a Facebook post.
"This commemorative poster represents the beauty and diversity of Illinois' manufacturing sector," Weaver said in the Facebook post. "More than 555,000 women and men work on factory floors producing $304 billion in annual economic output, the single largest share of the state economy."
Weaver urged everyone to "air-hug" manufacturing employees they know.

"This year, Illinois manufacturers have answered our nation's challenge by making life-saving products, equipping first responders, stocking our grocery stores, building the infrastructure, maintaining communications, and powering homes and businesses," Weaver said in the Facebook post.
The poster was the shape of Illinois with items on top that are made in Illinois, including cell phones, toothbrushes, Skittles candy, sunglasses, cheesecake and Tootsie Rolls.
Weaver said he was proud to display the poster in his office.
