Analysis: Rockridge administrators rank 507th in state for average pay

Administrators in Rockridge Community Unit School District 300 earn an average of $97,547 per year, ranking 507th out of 864 districts in Illinois, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2020 average is 8.2 percent higher than in 2016 and 10.5 percent higher than in 2011. District administrators make 12.4 percent less than the state average of $111,293.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Rockridge School District in Rock Island County enrolled 1066 students in 2019-2020. There is an average of 178 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 171 to 1.
