City of Keithsburg City Council met Jan. 10.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Reason opened the Meeting at 6:30 pm
Pledge of allegiance
Alderman Present: Donnie Cox, Melonie McLaughlin, Chad Weeks, Ronnie Brock, Don Truitt. Not present: Tom Litwiler
Others Present: Sharon Reason, Cindy Diehl, Kayla Hillman
Public Comments:
Thank you: Skyler and Josh for the past week of snowplowing and salt. Received compliments about our streets from a out of town person.
Chad weeks said his Oath, now Alderman at Large.
1. Cash Receipts: Melonie made a motion to approve, Donnie seconded; Motion carried with all “yes” votes.
2. Cash Disbursements: Ron made a motion to approve, Don seconded; Motion carried with all “yes” votes.
3. Minutes from last month’s Meeting: Ron made a motion to approve, Melonie seconded; Motion carried with all “yes” votes.
4. Kasi Henshaw has looked into options for grant funding a filtration system for the City of Keithsburg, prioritizing treatment to fix water issues first, then to replace and fix the infrastructure.
Loser Flake had a county wide meeting combining projects from each community, City has asked for a total of 15,000 to help fund the Kayak project.
5. Water and Sewer: Nothing to Report
6. Streets and Sidewalks: Expenses needing approved, new tires and Alignment for the Chevy. Donnie made a motion to approve, Melonie seconded; Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
7. Fire Department: Nothing to report
8. Police: 11 Total calls for December 2021
9. Campground: Nothing to Report
10. Zoning: Nothing to report
11. Resolutions and Ordinance: Nothing to Report
12. Other: The Meeting for February will be moved to Tues. February 15th, 2022 at 6:30pm
