City of Moline Special Event Committee met April 26.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Approval of March 23, 2023 Meeting Minutes

2. Consideration of a Special Event Application for Mercado on Fifth to utilize 5th Avenue from 11th Street to 12th Street and a partial closure of 12th Street for the Mercado outdoor market. The events are held every Friday starting May 26th through October 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.

3. Consideration of the Mercado on Fifth Funding Request

4. Consideration of a Special Event Application for Quad Cities Open Network to utilize the I-74 Bridge Walk Path for the Walk for Zero Suicide event. The event is to be held Saturday, September 9th from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.

5. Consideration of a Special Event Application for the QC CrimeStoppers to utilize River Drive, 1st Street, Great River Trail, and 19th Street, for the QC Crimestoppers 5K event. The event is to be held Saturday, August 26th from 4:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.

6. Consideration of the 10th Annual Fall Belgian Festival Funding Request
