7.1 A Resolution approving the special event application for the Stunnings Summer Showcase amateur boxing and fundraiser event scheduled for Saturday, August 12, 2023, that is sponsored by Stunnings Boxing Club, and closing certain streets more particularly described herein to vehicular traffic.

Suggested Action: Due to the application being received on July 6th, the Special Events Committee has not had an opportunity to make a recommendation. The City Council’s determination will be provided to the committee as an informational at the July 26th.

17.1 An Ordinance amending Section 8-2101 (“Amendments to the Building Code”) of Division 1 (“Moline Building Code”) of Chapter 8 (“Buildings and Other Construction and Building Services”) of the City of Moline Code of Ordinances, regarding the City’s adopted Building Code and adding a new Section 25- 4112 (“Demolition of Structures Fifty Years Old or Older”) to Article IV (“Historic Preservation”) of Chapter 25 (“Planning and Development”) to create procedural safeguards prior to the demolition of potential landmarks.
