NEW BUSINESS

1. Police Officer Probationary Appointments (Darren Gault, Chief of Police)

Explanation: Cooper Sant Amour (number one candidate), Ryan Rochholz (number two candidate) and Brion Perkins (number five candidate) are currently in the process of completing pre-employment requirements. Attachment: No

Staff Recommendation: Due to timing of police academy requirements, staff request probationary appointment of Police Officers Cooper Sant Amour, Ryan Rochholz and Brion Perkins effective August 31, 2023, contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements.

2. Voluntary Removal from the Police Officer Eligibility Register (Darren Gault, Chief of Police) Explanation: Dominique Mendoza (number three candidate) on the Police Officer Eligibility Register, requested removal from employment consideration in her email to Leah Miller, HR Director on Thursday, July 20, 2023, as she has accepted a position with another agency.

Staff Recommendation: Staff request removal of Dominique Mendoza from the Police Officer Eligibility Register at her request.

3. Resignation of Police Officer (Darren Gault, Chief of Police)

Explanation: Officer Rodnel Eldor submitted his letter of resignation on July 11, 2023, effective immediately.

Staff Recommendation: Staff request acceptance of the resignation of Rodnel Eldor effective July 11, 2023.

4. Resignation of Police Officer (Darren Gault, Chief of Police)

Explanation: Office Garrett Tuttle submitted his letter of resignation on July 26, 2023, effective immediately.

Staff Recommendation: Staff request acceptance of the resignation of Garrett Tuttle effective July 26, 2023.

5. Request to Fill Police Officer Vacancies (Darren Gault, Chief of Police)

Explanation: Due to the resignations of Garrett Tuttle and Rodnel Eldor, two vacancies exist in the rank of Police Officer.

Staff Recommendation: Staff request authorization to fill the vacancies with two new Police Officers from the Police Officer Eligibility Register at a date to be determined.

6. Resignation of Firefighter/Paramedic (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief)

Explanation: Firefighter/Paramedic Michael Moritz submitted his resignation on July 26, 2023, effective immediately.

Staff Recommendation: Staff request acceptance of the resignation of Michael Moritz effective July 26, 2023.

7. Request to Fill Firefighter/Paramedic Vacancy (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief)

Explanation: Due to the resignation of Michael Moritz on July 26, 2023, a vacancy has been created in the rank of Firefighter/Paramedic.

Staff Recommendation: Staff request authorization to fill the vacancy with one new Firefighter/Paramedic from the Firefighter/Paramedic Eligibility Register at a date to be determined.

8. Voluntary Removal from the Firefighter/Paramedic Eligibility Register (Steve Regenwether, Fire Chief) Explanation: Bryce Lawson (number 17 candidate) on the current Firefighter/Paramedic Eligibility Register, requested removal from employment consideration in his email to Jerry Sottos on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

Staff Recommendation: Staff request acceptance of the removal of Bryce Lawson from the Firefighter/Paramedic Eligibility Register at his request.

OTHER BUSINESS
