There were 33 offenders released on parole during 2019 that live in Kewanee zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rock Island Today.

The data shows that 25 men and eight women were released in Kewanee. Of the parolees, one is a veteran and the median age is 37. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced in 2017 and the oldest was a 71-year-old man sentenced in 2006.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Scott F. English. He was convicted in 2000 when he was 30 years old. He is now 50.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
