The Committee of the Whole of the City of Geneseo was called to order at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present:

COUNCIL PRESENT: 

Council Bob James, Council Brett Barnhart, Council Craig Arnold, Council Douglas Crow, Mayor Sean Johnson, Council Paula Simosky, and Council Keith Kennett

COUNCIL ABSENT:

Council Martin Rothschild and Alderman James Roodhouse

STAFF PRESENT: 

City Administrator Brandon Maeglin, Attorney Derke Price, Director of IT Garrett Griswold, Director of Public Works Chad VandeWoestyne, Chief of Police Casey Disterhoft, Director of Electrical Operations Eric Rowold, Deputy Chief of Police Kondon Karzin, and Building Inspector Rick Mills

Alderman Keith Kennett gave kudos to the Boy Scout Troops who stepped in and used their advanced first-aid training to help injured passengers on the Amtrak Train that derailed this past weekend.

Brett Barnhart moved, seconded by Craig Arnold, Motion to recommend to the Special City Council Meeting to approve the negotiated collective bargaining agreement between the City and IBEW – Water/Waste Water Employees for a contract term of 07/01/2022 – 12/31/2024.

Craig Arnold moved, seconded by Keith Kennett, Motion to recommend to the Special City Council Meeting to approve R-22-14, a resolution approving general wage increases and and changes to health care for non-union city staff.
