City of Lewistown City Council met April 26.

The Lewistown City Council met in a special session in the council chambers. Mayor Douglas Lafary called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Alderperson Sally Clark, Jim Long, Kendall Miller, David Levingston, and Mayor Doug Lafary. Also present: City Clerk Cindy Goddard, City Treasurer Debby Brown, Administrative Assistant Levi Peitzmeier, and Public Works Director Evinn Palmer. ABSENT: Alderpersons John Spotloe, and Brad Ward.

DECLARATION OF QUORUM by Mayor Doug Lafary

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

1. Discuss/Act Upon what to do with our 3-month CD at Ipava State Bank – Interest rates offered were Mid America for 1.41% for 3 month and 4.58% for 8 months, Ipava Bank for 5.3% for 3 month and 5.1% for 8 months, Havana National Bank 5.2% for 3 months and Prairie State Bank 1% for 3 month, and 5.1-5.2 APY for 7 months. Alderperson

Levingston made a motion for 8 month at 5.1% at Ipava State Bank, second by Alderperson Miller, motion carried all ayes.

2. Discuss/Act Upon passing Appropriation Ordinance Budget FY25 – Final viewing of budget. Motion by Alderperson Miller to pass the Ordinance for Appropriation Budget FY25, second by Alderperson Clark, roll call vote, motion carried all ayes.

CLOSED SESSION: No closed session

ADJOURNMENT:

Alderperson Miller made a motion to adjourn at 6:03 p.m.; Seconded by Alderperson Clark motion carried all ayes.
