City of Moline Special Events Committee met May 22.

AGENDA ITEMS 

1. Approval of the May 5, 2025 Meeting Minutes 

2. Consideration of a Special Event Application for the Glen Oaks Neighborhood to utilize 24th and 25th Avenue between 12th Street and 13th Street. Along with closures of 12th Street between 25th Avenue Ct and 24th Avenue and 13th Street between 24th Avenue and 25th Avenue for their Morgan Park 4th of July Parade. This event is scheduled to be held Friday, July 4, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application. 

3. Consideration of a Special Event Application for the Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House to utilize 11th Avenue, between 8th Street and the end of the Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House parking lot entrance. This event is scheduled to be held Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application. 

4. Consideration of a Special Event Application for the Moline High School – Moline Student Congress to utilize the route: 41st Street from the Moline High School entrance to 26th Avenue, west on 26th Avenue, and north on 34th Avenue to the Avenue of the Cities. This event is scheduled to be held Friday, September 19, 2025 from 12:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (this includes set-up and clean-up time). Supporting information and special consideration requests are detailed in the Special Event Application.
