City of Moline Traffic Engineering Committee will meet on May 6.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order – Laura Klauer

2. Roll Call – Laura Klauer

3. Approval of minutes of the Traffic Engineering Committee meeting of February 4, 2025.

4. Request to review parking on 36th Street, between Avenue of the Cities and 19th Avenue.

Explanation: Received a call from a resident concerned with the parking on 36th Street and school traffic. Discussion to review and amend current ordinance.

Current Ordinance:

“Thirty-sixth Street, on both sides, from the north line of Twenty-third Avenue, north for a distance of 150 feet.”

“Thirty-sixth Street, east side, from Avenue of the Cities north to 22nd Avenue.”

5. Request for Designated Parking for Persons with Disabilities at 711 4th Avenue. 

Explanation: Request received from QC Community Acupuncture (commercial space rental) for client use.

6. Other/Public Comments

Request to add “No Parking here to corner” on the south side of 35th Avenue, west of the 35th Street intersection.

Explanation: Request does not include a certain distance. Complaint states poor visibility due to numerous parked cars close to the intersection.
