Henry County taxpayers paid the 24th largest sum in sales taxes in November 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Henry County residents paid $793,188 in sales taxes during November 2024.

Henry County ranked 22nd in the Prairie State the month before, with $797,606 spent in sales taxes.

The County School Facility Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Henry County residents in November 2024.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
