State Representative Dan Swanson (R-Alpha) welcomed a group of 40 4-H members from across Illinois at the Capitol. The visit took place on Wednesday as part of the University of Illinois Extension’s 4-H Legislative Connection event. The students represented 27 different 4-H programs from throughout the state.

Swanson expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “I am always thrilled to welcome our future leaders to their State Capitol and show them how their government works.”

The gathering provided an opportunity for young participants to learn about legislative processes and engage with lawmakers. This initiative aims to foster civic engagement among youth involved in the 4-H program.
