On July 27, National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day is observed to mark the anniversary of the cease-fire that ended active combat in the Korean War in 1953.
The day serves as a time to recognize those who served during the conflict, remember those who lost their lives, and reflect on their dedication to freedom. “Today, we acknowledge the bravery of those who served in Korea, honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and remember their unwavering commitment to freedom,” according to a statement released for the occasion.
