On Wednesday, March 26, former Alleman Catholic High School standout Payton Barton’s current college team, the UIC Flames, won 13-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Northern Illinois Huskies.
The game took place at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park. This was their first matchup against the Huskies this season.
The Flames’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 4 p.m. at Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium against Indiana State Sycamores.
