We had several events in the 71st District this weekend.
The first Polar Plunge of the year took place, with participants having to break ice off Lake Storey on Saturday morning. The event drew a significant turnout and raised funds for the Special Olympics.
Saturday night featured a pancake event at Rio Fire Protection District. Community members showed strong support, and many familiar faces engaged in discussions.
