The new chairman expressed that the work of the committee is nonpartisan, focusing on assisting veterans and improving state services offered to them. “Assisting our veterans and improving the services the state offers to them is not a Republican or Democrat issue,” he stated.
The initial meeting under his leadership was primarily organizational, with plans to begin reviewing bills in the coming weeks. The chairman encouraged public participation by providing a link for those interested in listening to committee hearings. Regular meetings are scheduled for Tuesdays at 4 p.m. in Room 413, although they may be delayed if preceding sessions run long.
