Call to order and roll call

Vice Chairwoman Melissa Moreno called the meeting to order at 10:06 a.m.

Members present: J. Woods, D. Mielke, L. Boswell-Loftin, M. Moreno, D. Beck, P. McNeil, K. Bogdonas, Chairman Brunk

Members absent: Chairman J. Deppe

Public Hearing for the ProjectNOW FY23 Consolidated Vehicle Procurement Grant Application

Vice Chairwoman M. Moreno made three calls for the Public Hearing. There was no response for the Public Hearing.

Bill Long of Rock Island, requested that the Chairman and board members names be put on the online agendas for each committee meeting,

Reports to the Committee

University of IL Extension, Rachel Curry, shared a link to the release about Scholarships that the Extension and Rock Island Rotary Club. There have been a few projects that the Extension has worked with Rock Island Conservation district, last weekend they planted trees. They also continue to work with the Rock Island 4-H. She has also been working with conservation on a couple water shed plans.

Review of pending/proposed state legislation & policy matters affecting Rock Island County Ms. Beck stated she has nothing to add.

Chairman Brunk reported that they are continuing effort to work with local legislatures and the state on a compromise regarding the flood plain maps.

Committee member opportunity for brief comment (no decisions will be made)

Member L. Boswell-Loftin commented that as Board Members it is their responsibility to consider all ramifications and make decisions that positively affect our communities.
