The Secretary of State office in Aledo closed its doors at the end of business last Wednesday. Residents are advised to visit nearby locations for their needs, including Galesburg at 1066 E. Losey, Silvis at Twin Oaks Shopping Center, or Monmouth at 330 N. Main.

Efforts are underway to establish a new location in Aledo. The Secretary of State staff is working with Aledo’s Mayor and City Administrator on this matter. “SoS is committed to reopen a site in Aledo,” they stated, emphasizing that it will require some time to finalize the transition and relocation.
