Rock Island's library upgrades its website to be more mobile-friendly
The Rock Island Public library recently unveiled a new version of its website designed to be more compatible for smartphone and tablet users.
The redesigned site, produced in-kind by Sedona Technologies, features direct links to the library catalog, user sign in and the events calendar along with drop-down menus for secondary resources like frequently asked questions and general information. The site also offers shortcuts to commonly visited pages and links to social media, with library locations at the bottom of the page.
"Modernizing the library's website with simple-to-use links and navigation is another step to fulfilling the library's strategic plan," Rock Island Library Director Angela Campbell said. "We are extremely grateful for the donation of design services for this very important project."
