Rock Island advertises various commission and board openings.
Rock Island Mayor Dennis Pauley used the Update Rock Island segment of the city council meeting on Feb. 15 to advertise vacancies on several local boards and commissions.
Pauley said the Citizens Advisory Committee, Preservation Commission, Property Maintenance Board and the Plumbing Board are all looking for new members. Terms vary depending on the group, from two years to four years.
Applicants must be Rock Island residents and may need additional qualifications, depending on the specific board or committee.
