Report: Riverdale spent $8,765 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Riverdale Community Unit School District 100 is down 4.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Rock Island County school district spent $9,199 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,765 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1146 to 1172.

Riverdale's spending in 2017-18 was 34.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
