Report: Annawan spent $12,073 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Annawan Community Unit School District 226 is up 19.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Henry County school district spent $10,085 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,073 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 416 to 358.

Annawan's spending in 2017-18 was 9.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
