Report: Carbon Cliff-Barstow spent $11,901 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Carbon Cliff-Barstow School District 36 is up 3.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Rock Island County school district spent $11,511 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,901 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 309 to 284.

Carbon Cliff-Barstow's spending in 2017-18 was 10.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
