There were 143 Black students enrolled in Henry County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 10.9% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Black students made up 1.9% of the 7,537 students during the 2023-24 school year. They were the second least represented ethnicity in the county schools.

Among the 24 schools in Henry County, Kewanee High School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 31 students.
