United Township High School District 30 released a series of announcements on April 13 regarding upcoming school events, student opportunities, and important deadlines for students and families.
The updates are relevant to students preparing for prom, graduation, club activities, and other academic matters. The district’s communication includes eligibility requirements for prom royalty nominations and attendance, information about yearbook sales, graduation details for seniors, as well as several extracurricular events.
Seniors interested in being on the ballot for Prom Royalty must submit a Google Form by April 14 at 3 p.m., meeting criteria such as passing five classes and having no more than five referrals or absences this semester. To attend Prom on May 9th, students must have ten or fewer discipline entries in Skyward before purchasing tickets. Guest forms are available in Student Services until May 7th. Yearbooks can now be reserved at $60 each in the General Office with only a limited number available on a first-come basis. Seniors who ordered caps and gowns may pick them up on April 23 from 10:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Hall of Values.
Other highlights include discounted tickets to “Beetlejuice the Musical” at Adler Theatre from April 28-30 with valid student ID; participation in the UTHS Career Fair scheduled for April 22; an invitation to learn about Muscatine Community College’s Vet Tech program on May 11; and various club meetings such as Unified Sports volunteering opportunities, Fields of Faith event on May 22nd, Fosters Voice meeting on April 16th, FCA meeting on April 14th, H.O.P.E Club gathering on April 15th, Gamers Club session this Friday, and a free jazz concert featuring multiple ensembles including the Iowa Women’s Jazz Orchestra.
United Township High School District 30 serves Rock Island and Henry counties according to state records. The district enrolled approximately 1,705 students during the 2019-2020 school year and serves grades nine through twelve as reported by state data. It is located in East Moline within Rock Island County.
