United Township High School District 30 announced on March 9 the upcoming schedule for its spring athletics events, with competitions set to take place from March 9 through March 14, 2026. The district highlighted that girls’ varsity track and field will compete against multiple opponents at St. Ambrose on Tuesday, March 10 at 4:00 p.m., while boys’ varsity track and field will have their meet at the same location and time on Thursday, March 12.

The announcement marks the start of the spring sports season for students in the district. Athletics are a key part of student life in United Township High School District 30, which serves grades nine through twelve and enrolled 1,705 students during the 2019-2020 school year. The district is located in East Moline and Rock Island County according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

United Township High School District 30 represents both Rock Island and Henry counties, with United Township High School as part of this district according to state records. The district’s student body is composed of approximately 51.3 percent White, 16 percent Black, 25.5 percent Hispanic, and 2.9 percent Asian students according to ISBE data.

The Illinois State Board of Education reports that United Township High School District employs a total of ninety-six teachers who earn an average salary of $65,666 before pension contributions; about half are women (48.3 percent) and half are men (51.7 percent). No teachers had more than ten absences in a school year according to ISBE.
