United Township High School District 30 released announcements on April 1, outlining upcoming state testing dates, yearbook sales, graduation information, club activities, and sports tryouts.

The update is important for students and families to prepare for key academic events in April and May. The district serves the communities of Rock Island and Henry counties, according to the Illinois Report Card.

State testing will take place next week. Juniors are scheduled to take the ACT on Wednesday, April 8 with dismissal at 12:30 p.m., while sophomores will have the PreACT on Thursday, April 9 with dismissal at 11:35 a.m. Freshmen will also take the PreACT on Friday, April 10 with an identical early dismissal time. Students are reminded to bring a fully charged Chromebook, calculator if desired, and a pencil; they should check their email for MyACT Student Codes and instructions about sending scores to colleges. Testing rooms will be posted on April 7.

Yearbooks can now be reserved in the General Office for $60 as of March 31. There are currently only a limited number available on a first-come basis. Seniors are encouraged to visit the Senior Information page for graduation details ahead of May 30; cap and gown pickup is set for Thursday, April 23 in the Hall of Values.

Additional updates include open registration for the Seal of Biliteracy test via QR codes around campus; students interested in participating in Panther Pant must sign up before Monday, April 6 through social media channels. Sports tryouts for football and soccer cheer squads begin with optional clinics starting April 7; official tryouts occur on April 10.

According to the Illinois State Board of Education the district employs ninety-six teachers earning an average salary of $65,666 before pension contributions; staff is nearly evenly split between men (51.7 percent) and women (48.3 percent), with no teacher having more than ten absences per year.

The student population is reported as being composed of approximately fifty-one percent White students, sixteen percent Black students, twenty-five percent Hispanic students, and nearly three percent Asian students according to ISBE. In terms of finances,the district spent $19,622 per student during fiscal year twenty-twenty totaling over thirty-three million dollars.

Chronic truancy was reported at four-point-six percent—seventy-eight chronically truant students out of all enrolled—which remains below statewide averages according to ISBE data. United Township High School District Thirty enrolled one thousand seven hundred five students during twenty-nineteen–twenty-twenty school year as a high school district serving grades nine through twelve located in East Moline within Rock Island County according to official records.
