United Township High School District 30 announced on March 30 the upcoming athletics schedule for its high school teams, covering events from March 30 through April 4, 2026. The schedule includes competitions in tennis, baseball, softball, soccer, and track and field.
The weekly athletics schedule is important for students and families to stay informed about upcoming games and events. Activities like these support student engagement outside the classroom while encouraging community participation.
According to the district’s announcement, events will take place both at home venues and away locations. Highlights include boys varsity tennis at Macomb Jr-Sr High School on Monday afternoon and multiple baseball games against Alleman Catholic High School. Girls’ varsity track and field will compete with several opponents away from home later that day. Softball matches against Galesburg High School are scheduled for both varsity and junior varsity teams on Monday as well.
Additional activities throughout the week include girls’ soccer matches versus Sterling High School at home on Monday evening and Peoria Notre Dame High School on Wednesday. A Pre Festival Band event is also set for Thursday evening at home. The weekend features a softball invitational hosted by Marengo High School along with Shipley Track & Field meets in Moline.
United Township High School District 30 serves Rock Island and Henry counties according to the Illinois Report Card. The district enrolled approximately 1,705 students in grades nine through twelve during the most recent reported school year according to state data. It spent $19,622 per student in total expenditures in fiscal year 2020 as reported by state education records.
The district has a diverse student body that is about half White (51.3 percent), with Black (16 percent), Hispanic (25.5 percent), and Asian (2.9 percent) populations represented according to ISBE figures. There are currently no teachers with more than ten absences per year among its staff of ninety-six educators earning an average salary of $65,666 before pension contributions per state data.
In terms of attendance issues, United Township had seventy-eight chronically truant students—defined as missing five percent or more of mandated school days without valid excuse—during the last reporting period; this rate of chronic truancy stands at four point six percent compared to a statewide average of nine point six percent according to ISBE statistics.
