United Township High School District shares March updates on events and student achievements

United Township High School District 30 shared its daily announcements for March 2, 2026, providing updates on school meals, student activities, and upcoming events.

The cafeteria menu for the day included macaroni and cheese with a whole grain garlic bread stick, chicken vegetable dumpling, green beans, baby whole carrots with dip, mixed green salad, and assorted fresh fruit.

Skyline staff requested help from students in sharing photos from the Sadies event or other school-year activities. Students can upload their pictures by scanning a QR code located in the north hallway display case or near announcement boards. Questions can be directed to Mrs. Green in room 126E.

Students planning to participate in Wednesday’s Polar Plunge for Student Council were reminded to sign up with Caleb by noon that day. The theme for this year’s plunge is “cowboy.”

Seniors were encouraged to review newly added scholarships ahead of spring break. Scholarships are available not only for academics but also various interests and trades. Students with questions are advised to contact Mrs. Drish.

The University of Wisconsin – Platteville will visit United Township High School on Monday, March 9 during Period 4. Interested students should register at the Counseling Office to meet with the university representative and learn about programs in engineering, agriculture, criminal justice, and technology.

Tryouts for UT football and soccer cheer teams are scheduled for April 10th. Optional clinics will be held on April 7th and 8th. Flyers around campus provide additional information; Coach Lauren is available for questions.

Unified Sports members have a meeting set for Tuesday morning at 7:20 am in the auditorium to discuss upcoming events.

Fosters Voice will hold a meeting Thursday at 7 am in the auditorium; attendees are invited to bring friends and enjoy donuts.

An FCA lesson is planned for Tuesday morning at 7:20 am in the commons area.

Gamers Club will gather Friday after school in room 149N.

The Math Team participated in the ICTM Regional Math Contest held Saturday in Peoria. Gabriel Kerley placed first individually in Geometry; Kerley along with Maryam Nadif and Bayan Nhar took third as a Geometry team and second place as part of the Freshman-Sophomore eight-person team competition. Aiyana Alonzo, John Baker, Abrar Sherif, Nathan Whittington, Parker Foreman, and Meyso Oumer secured second place as an Algebra II team. Carson Vroman joined John Baker, Julio Bracamontes, Meyso Oumer, and Gabriel Kerley to win first place as a Calculator Team.
