The Western Illinois University RockyTHON (Dance Marathon) will host its annual pancake dinner fundraiser from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3 at the Macomb American Legion, 221 E. Washington St., as part of the organization’s year-round effort to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon. The year-long event culminates March 25 2023, with the 12-hour (noon to midnight) Dance Marathon, which honors the 12-hour shifts of doctors and nurses, as well as children who are unable to stand.

The event includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage and orange juice. Tickets are $5 per person in advance Venmo @WIUROCKYTHON or $7 at the door. Advance tickets can also be purchased by contacting rockython@wiu.edu.

Western’s RockyTHON is entering its 10th year on the WIU campus, with this year’s goal set at $100,000. Since its inception, more than $760,000 has been raised for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

Donations are welcome, and may be made by visiting the WIU RockyThon Donor Drive website at tinyurl.com/wiurockython23 or e-mailing RockyTHON@wiu.edu. Additional details and more events can be found on the WIU RockyThon Facebook page.
