Rock Island is preparing to host a roundup event for local elementary schools.
The Rock Island Milan School District 41 will host roundup times at nine elementary schools on April 27.
Parents looking to enroll their child in kindergarten in the district for the 2016-17 school year are encouraged to come to the school serving their area at the specified time.
Roundups will begin at 3:30 p.m. for Denkmann; 4 p.m. for Eugene Field Elementary; 2:30 p.m. for Frances Willard Elementary and Rock Island Center for Math & Science; 3 p.m. for Longfellow Liberal Arts and Earl Hanson Elementary; and 2:45 p.m. for Ridgewood Elementary and Rock Island Academy and Thomas Jefferson Elementary.
Prospective students must be five years old on, or before, Sept. 1.
