The East Moline City Council recently approved bids and purchases.
The City Council of East Moline approved a bid agreement and purchase agreements during its Feb. 16 meeting.
The bid agreement consisted of the replacement of a water filter at the city’s water filtration plant. This bid was supplied by Northern Filtration Plant. The meeting minutes indicate that this measure was approved by a unanimous vote.
Purchase agreements that were considered by the council consisted of the purchase of a dump truck from Rush Enterprises for a total of $90,734.00. This purchase was approved with five in favor and one vote opposed.
The second agreement was for a mower that would also be used at the Water Filtration Plant of East Moline and was supplied by Pillar Equipment; this purchase was approved with a majority vote in favor -- just one vote in opposition.
During this meeting, the council approved both the salaries to be paid for the week of Feb. 12 and a set of bills, amounting to $390,207.18 and $61,365.85. Meeting minutes from the council’s previous meeting and committee of the whole sessions were not reviewed, due to corrections that needed to be made and were removed from this meeting’s agenda.
