Rock Island High School alumnus Grant Myers was recently named the Midwest Conference Position Performer of the Week for his play on the Monmouth College baseball team.
A sophomore outfielder, Myers hit .769 in Monmouth's four games for the week, posting a 1.077 slugging percentage. He ended the week with 10 hits in 13 at-bats, including three runs scored and three RBIs.
In a game against Westminster College, Myers went 6-for-7, then went 3-for-3 in game one and got a hit in the second game of a doubleheader with Bethany College.
Myers is hitting .565 with a .957 slugging percentage and a .565 on-base percentage for the season so far. He is majoring in business.
