Bryan Lear has been announced as the new director of the Moline Public Library.
Lear's appointment was approved by the Moline Public Library board of directors on Feb. 11. He was expected to begin his new post Feb. 12.
The board also approved spending $32,000 of its funds raised for technology to bridge the funding gap for the library's proposed technology upgrade.
The meeting was adjourned after 30 minutes.
