World Dance classes will begin next month at the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center, according to the Rock Island Parks and Recreation program guide.
Classes begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, and will run until Thursday, Nov. 17.
The first week of class will focus on Horas from Greece, while the second week will be concentrated on Mahi Ve from India. Jigs and Reels from Ireland will be the main aspect of the third week, with week four on Fanga from Rwanda, week five on Opa Cupa from Romania, and week six on Bailes Folkoricos from Mexico.
Gunter Schlueter of QC Social Dancing will be the instructor. Cost for the class is $42 per person; it will be conducted in classroom four at the RIFAC, 4303 24th St.
