Moline-Coal Valley School District Superintendent Lanty McGuire will serve the district through the 2018-2019 school year after the school board recently voted to extend his contract.
The revised contract now includes the time period from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019.
“We are very pleased with Lanty McGuire’s performance as Superintendent thus far,” Board President Justin Anderson said. “This has led us to believe that we have the right person in place to lead the District for two additional years. Based on his past performance and positive leadership of the district, we have decided to extend his contract through 2019.”
The board has not yet set a date for a meeting to discuss the issue of hiring a superintendent for the 2019-2020 school year and thereafter.
