Report: Cambridge spent $10,136 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Cambridge Community Unit School District 227 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Henry County school district spent $9,605 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,136 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 510 to 486.

Cambridge's spending in 2016-17 was 22 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
