Report: United spent $10,851 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at United Township High School District 30 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Rock Island County school district spent $9,801 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,851 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1709 to 1688.

United's spending in 2016-17 was 16 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
