WESTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY RIVERFRONT CAMPUS:COFAC Premiere Set for Aug. 18 at Citizens Bank

Western Illinois University Riverfront Campus recently issued the following announcement.

The College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) at Western Illinois University, in partnership with Citizens Bank, a division of Morton Community Bank, will host the COFAC Premiere from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at the bank's offices in downtown Macomb.

COFAC celebrates 50 years at WIU this year, and special events will be held in each department to commemorate the milestone. Information about these events will be available at the premiere.

The event will feature live music by performers in the WIU School of Music, including the President's International String Quartet. Display tables will provide information about concerts, performances and exhibitions by the Department of Theatre and Dance, the School of Music, the WIU Art Gallery, the Performing Arts Society, and BCA. Information about the Performing Arts Society's Beerfest, Arts Smarts Trivia Night and the Starry Night Gala will also be available.

Season tickets will be available for purchase for both BCA and Theatre and Dance events. Individual ticket sales will be available online or through the Hainline Theatre Box Office the following week by calling (309) 298-2900.

SummerStage 2019 will also be unveiled at the premiere at 10 a.m. Guests can enjoy complimentary refreshments and hear about the 2019 SummerStage show.

Details about audition dates and rehearsal schedules will be available in 2019.
