113

Western Illinois University Riverfront Campus issued the following announcement on.

The fifth annual Lodge and Libations event will be held Saturday, Sept 22, at Horn Field Campus (HFC).

The event begins at 5 p.m., with a brief program at 6 p.m. Horn Field Campus is located at 985 China Rd., south of Macomb

Lodge and Libations is sponsored by the WIU Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration, Hospitality Management and Horn Field Campus. This year's event will celebrate new and continuing partnerships.

Lodge and Libations was first organized in 2014 to celebrate 50 years of Horn Field being part of Western and to raise money to build a premier outdoor educational facility at HFC, the University's 92-acre outdoor educational facility.

This year, while the fundraising efforts continue, the focus is on celebrating the strengths of the department, its recent accomplishments, the new faculty and chairperson and all of the campus and community partnerships that continue to work together to provide enhanced recreational and leisure opportunities to the region.

Admission to Lodge and Libations is $10 per person and $5 for WIU students and youth, which includes hors ‘d oeuvres, refreshments and a cash bar. Online registration is available until Monday, Sept. 17 at bit.ly/LodgeLib.

Those who cannot attend and still want to contribute to the proposed facility can text "Horn50" to 41444, visit wiu.edu/HFC, or contact College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) Director of Development Suzanne Woodward at (309) 298-1690 or by email at S-Woodward@wiu.edu.
