According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 218 students during the year. That equates to 33 percent of the 661 students enrolled.
Of the 111 in-school suspensions, 97 were given to boys and 14 were given to girls, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 104 incidents. There were seven incidents of violence without physical injury. For 111 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
Of the 107 out-of-school suspensions, 90 were given to boys and 17 were given to girls, all of whom were elementary or middle schoolers.
