Tony McCombie of the Republican party has been declared the winner in the House District 71 race against Democratic candidate Joan Padilla.
With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, McCombie had 59 percent of the vote with a total of 23,810 votes.
Padilla received 41 percent of the vote with a total of 16,736 votes.
