Report: Wethersfield spent $9,541 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Wethersfield Community Unit School District 230 is up 12.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Henry County school district spent $8,499 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,541 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 635 to 590.

Wethersfield's spending in 2017-18 was 28.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
